Microsoft has just announced that its Office Mobile application is now available for everyone.

Some of you might remember that Microsoft launched a preview version of Office Mobile for Android about five weeks ago.

Since then, the Office for Android has been tested on more than 1,900 different smartphones in 83 countries.

Today, the Redmond-based company has confirmed Office for Android is out of preview, so everyone with a compatible Android smartphone can now download and take advantage of what it has to offer.

Also, developers confirmed that Android M is not yet supported, but it will probably be added once the new OS version gets released later this year.

Anyway, the application allows users to create new Word and Excel documents directly on the phone, as well as view and edit Office documents attached to email messages.

Sign in with a free Microsoft account to edit, create and save documents

Some of these operations require users to sign in with a free Microsoft account. Also, a qualifying Office 365 subscription is required to create, edit and save documents for business use.

With Office for Android, users will be able to quickly find the document they are working on in the office from their phones. In addition, the application shows users where they were working last.

Microsoft also states that it has partnered with more than 30 global, regional and local OEMs, including Samsung, Sony and LG, to pre-load these apps on Android devices.

You can now download Word, Excel and PowerPoint on your Android smartphone, assuming it's running v.4.4 and up and that it packs at least 1GB of RAM.

Microsoft also mentions that free use is strictly for non-commercial purposes in Japan. Also, commercial use is only allowed when signed in with an Office 365 subscription that includes Commercial Use Rights.
