Microsoft hasn’t quite been the biggest Windows phone supporter lately and the company itself confirmed that no new hardware and software updates are planned for the platform.
This means users who aren’t willing to stick with the current state of Windows 10 Mobile would better migrate to Android and iOS, as Microsoft is supporting them both with updates to its apps released frequently.
In the meantime, however, users who don’t mind sticking with Windows 10 Mobile can buy the Alcatel IDOL 4S at this incredibly low price, and it goes without saying that the faster they do it, the better because suppliers are certainly limited and the offer could be removed anytime soon.
Technical specs
The Alcatel IDOL 4S is one of the best Windows phones ever released, coming with a high-quality 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display that looks brilliant and has vivid colors, excellent brightness, and good contrast, but also with a Snapdragon 820 chip, which at the time of its launch, was the most powerful Qualcomm processor.
The CPU is paired with 4GB RAM, and you also get 64GB storage, with a microSD card slot offering an extra 128GB should you need it.
In terms of cameras, the IDOL 4S comes with a 21-megapixel auto-focus unit on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
It remains to be seen how long this offer is going to be available for buyers in the United States, but given the shrinking userbase of the platform, Microsoft has every reason to keep it up and running until the last unit is sold.
