Build 14366 is now live for slow ring insiders too

It’s been a busy week for Windows insiders, with Microsoft rolling out two different builds on both PCs and smartphones and introducing new tools and a large collection of bug fixes.

Windows 10 build 14366 was the first to launch (followed by 14367 yesterday) for the fast ring, and it appears that feedback is pretty good, so Microsoft has decided to make it available to the slow ring as well.

Microsoft’s preview build system brings new releases to the fast ring, and depending on the received feedback and the number of bugs that the company manages to fix, insiders in the slow ring are getting the update or not. This time, it appears that build 14366 performed very well, so those who stick with the slow ring can download and install it too.

Available only on PCs

It's important to note that this build is available only on PCs, so anyone with a desktop computer enrolled in the fast and slow rings can get it right away.

In terms of new features, this build doesn’t bring too many, as it’s focused specifically on fixing bugs and improving performance - Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 10 Anniversary Update is feature-locked, so new features are very unlikely to land in the coming builds.

You still get an extension to access Office Online in Microsoft Edge and a Windows Store update that fixes the recently reported crashes and improves general performance on all devices.

In most of the cases, when Microsoft releases new builds to the slow ring, the company also ships new ISOs that allow for a clean install for users who want to start from scratch. This time, however, this is not happening, and ISOs could land at a later time. The latest ISOs are for build 14342, so it remains to be seen when Microsoft ships new ones for build 14366.
