Both have been crowned the “most delightful” in Q2 2015

It looks like not all is dark for Microsoft and Windows Phone presence in the United States. Although the operating system hit a new low in market share in one of the largest smartphone markets, those who switched to a Windows Phone have not been disappointed.

According to a new survey from analytics company Argus Insights, Microsoft has been crowned the most delightful handset manufacturer in Q2 2015 in United States, WPMU reports.

In particular, two Windows Phone handsets outshined all the other smartphones in the United State when it came to customer satisfaction: Lumia 535 and Lumia 640.

Both smartphones have been released in the United States only recently, but it looks like those who purchased one or the other are more than content with what these devices have to offer.

“In the midst of shifting away from Nokia branding, Microsoft saw an increase in delight from the few consumers reviewing their Microsoft Lumia 640 and the Microsoft Lumia 535 handsets, crowning Microsoft as the most delightful of the quarter,” says Argus in the report.

Apple and Samsung still dominate the US smartphone market

On the other hand, when it comes to consumer smartphone mindshare calculated for the months between January and June, it appears that all handset manufacturers had their consumer review mindshare shrank, including Microsoft and Windows Phone.

The only manufacturers to see growth in consumer review mindshare in the US smartphone market in the same period are Samsung and Apple.

However, that might change a bit later this year when Microsoft is expected to release its new Windows 10 Mobile operating system, as well as a new lineup for Lumia smartphones, including two flagship devices.

Consumers are expected to hold on from switching or upgrading to a new device until this fall when Samsung, Apple and Microsoft have new high-end smartphones in the pipeline.
