Microsoft has changed its mind completely when it comes to Windows 10 updates, and after releasing an update history page for PCs, the company is doing the same thing for mobile devices too.

Since the launch of Windows 10 in July 2015, the company has rolled out several cumulative updates. However, all but the most recent one came with absolutely no information on the included changes. This means that Microsoft wanted all users to install these updates, but it never provided specifics on the changes that they could generate on their computers.

But yesterday, Microsoft rolled out the so-called update history page for Windows 10 PCs, thus deciding to actually provide users with information on the system updates it releases.

No update information available just yet

And as @gus33000 spotted soon after this page went live, a Windows 10 Mobile version got published too in a similar attempt to keep users informed about the contents of each released update. Obviously, since the operating system is not yet publicly available, there are no updates to be detailed on this webpage just yet.

“From time to time, we release updates that add new or improved features that make your device even better. The following sections summarize what's been included in each update so far. The most recent update is listed first,” Microsoft explains.

“Updates to Windows 10 Mobile are cumulative. When you install the latest update, you also get all the previous updates. Only updates that apply to your device are downloaded and installed, and update availability varies by device, region, and mobile operator.”

Windows 10 Mobile is projected to launch sometime this month, according to people familiar with Microsoft’s plans, but there’s still no confirmation that this information is indeed accurate. At this point, work on the operating system continues, and insiders are getting new builds regularly, so it remains to be seen which version will be the one pushed to everyone too.
