New build now available for mobile devices in the fast ring

Microsoft has just released a new Windows 10 Mobile build for insiders enrolled in the fast ring, as the company moves closer to finalizing work on the Anniversary Update due in July.

Just as expected, Windows 10 Mobile build 14371 is all about bug fixes and performance improvements, so the only new feature that’s included this time is the new tap to pay support that was announced several hours ago. This new paying system works only on devices running Windows 10 Mobile build 14360 or newer and can be used on phones that launched with Windows 10 from the very beginning, including Lumia 950, 950 XL, and 650.

Other than that, there are plenty of bug fixes, and they’re all living proof that Windows 10 Anniversary Update is feature-locked and the full focus is on improving performance before the public launch.

Full focus on bug fixing

While you can check the entire change log in the box after the jump, there are two bugs that have been fixed and that we had on our devices.

First of all, it’s the issue causing the notifications to work incorrectly when opening the Action Center from the lock screen with the pin input screen also on.

“We fixed an issue where tapping a notification in the Action Center wouldn’t do anything if Action Center had been opened above the Lock screen while ‘Enter Pin’ was already showing. We also fixed an issue resulting in some notifications having an unexpectedly large amount of blank space,” Microsoft explains.

Additionally, if you experienced issues with the Start screen, which changed its color all of a sudden when opening the Action Center, they should be fixed now.

“We fixed an issue that could result in the Start screen becoming green or kaleidoscope-like in appearance for a few seconds after quickly opening Action Center, closing it, then panning the screen,” the company adds.

In case you’re looking for a PC build with the same number, Microsoft says that it’ll land very soon, so expect an announcement in this regard either today or tomorrow.
