Microsoft has just launched new cumulative updates for Windows 10 aimed at both version 1511 (November Update) and 10240 (the July 2015 RTM version).

First of all, the 1511 update. Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 cumulative update KB3140768 to provide quality improvements and security fixes to PCs running this particular version, and it’s important to know that “no new features are being introduced in this update.”

Specifically, this update pushes the version to 10586.164, which means that Microsoft has once again brought the PC build of Windows 10 in line with the mobile version (also updated to .164 earlier today).

The update comes with improvements to Bluetooth, wearables, and apps accessing contacts, as well as better reliability in app installation and Narrator.

There are several important fixes, including for bugs that blocked users from logging into an Xbox from a PC running Windows 10. Additionally, Microsoft implemented several security fixes for Windows 10 PCs, some of which are aimed at Edge browser and Internet Explorer.

What’s included in KB3140745 update

The RTM version of Windows 10 has got updated with CU KB3140745, which boosts version number to 10240.16728. Once again, there are several quality improvements and security fixes, but no new features.

The update is mostly about fixing bugs and improving performance, and one thing that needs to be mentioned is that this update fixes printing issues in Internet Explorer and enhances reliability for OS shutdown, group policy applications, displays, and Windows Update.

Microsoft says that this update also “fixes additional security issues with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, USB storage driver, kernel mode drivers, .NET Framework, graphic fonts, OLE, secondary logon, and PDF library,” so it’s very clear that all users should install the CU as soon as possible.

You can find all contents of these two updates in the box below and make sure you install them as soon as possible on your PCs.
