Microsoft has just announced that the Surface Book 2 would launch in all markets where the other Surface models are already on sale, thus expanding the availability of its most recent “ultimate laptop” worldwide.

Announced last fall, the second-generation Surface Book comes with a choice of two sizes, namely 13” and 15”, both of which will hit the shelves in all countries (the full list of markets to get them is attached at the end of the article).

Starting today, customers in a total of 17 markets can pre-order the Surface Book 2 with 15-inch screen, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

More countries will be added to the pre-order list in February and March, and the company says you should contact the local Microsoft stores or retail partners to get more information on availability.

In terms of specifications, Microsoft Surface Book 2 is the most powerful Surface model ever launched (Redmond’s own words), so it doesn’t come cheap. Pricing starts at $1,499 in the United States, but varies across the world depending on taxes.

The 13-inch Surface Book 2 can be purchased with either an Intel Core i5 or an Intel Core i7 chip. The first is available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the latter can be configured with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage or with 16GB RAM coupled with either 512GB or 1TB storage.

The 15-inch model, on the other hand, can only be ordered with an Intel Core i7 chip running on 16GB RAM and available with a choice of three different storage versions, namely 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The top-of-the-line Surface Book 2 costs $3,299 in the US and also features a 1060 NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card.
