Microsoft has launched a new website dedicated to the effort of bringing more users on Windows 10, but this time, the company is focusing on business, as the plan to upgrade consumers is coming to an end in July.

The new page is intuitively called “Ready for Windows” and uses the same taglines that Microsoft employed in order to attract more consumers on Windows 10.

“With millions of people already using Windows 10, it’s the fastest adopted version of Windows ever,” the company says, adding that “Windows 10 is driving a business refresh cycle across Microsoft’s enterprise and education customers.”

Basically, the new website is supposed to help businesses determine whether the upgrade to Windows 10 needs to be performed or not, and it includes information regarding supported software and solutions that could help make the best decision.

Compatible software

Microsoft has also published a list of business software that’s already optimized for Windows 10, so IT decision makers can quickly check whether a specific solution can be used on the new operating system or not. Internal software developed for specific operating system versions is one of the main reasons some companies are holding back the upgrade to Windows 10 or other newer releases.

Windows 10 was launched in July 2015 and was offered from the very beginning as a free upgrade to customers running Windows 7 or 8.1. Microsoft said last month that the operating system was installed on 300 million devices around the world, most of them benefitting from the free upgrade offer, but a bigger increase is expected in the next 12 months as enterprises begin the transition too.

The consumer upgrade offer ends on July 29, and during the same month, the company is also releasing the eagerly anticipated Anniversary Update that brings a long list of improvements on both PCs and smartphones running Windows 10.
