Microsoft and Irish carrier Argos have teamed up to bring customers three of the Windows Phone handsets launched this year: Lumia 435, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL.

An affordable smartphone and two mid-range Windows Phones are now available to Irish customers who prefer Argos as their main carrier, TechBuzzIreland reports.

Those who wish to grab these smartphones can do so for €75 (Lumia 435), €150 (Lumia 640) and €215 (Lumia 640 XL).

The Windows Phone handsets are offered SIM free and cover all price tiers from the lower range, so depending on your needs and budget, you can get one or another.

All three smartphones come with Windows Phone 8.1 right out of the box, but they are likely to be upgraded to Windows 10 later this year when Microsoft decides to launch the new operating system.

One of the cheapest Windows Phone handsets available on the market, the Lumia 435 is powered by a decent 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Also, the smartphone sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The Lumia 435 comes with only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Other highlights of the smartphone include 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, secondary VGA camera, FM Radio, 3G HSPA+ support and 1,560 mAh battery.

All three smartphones should be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile

On the other hand, Microsoft Lumia 640 comes with a much larger 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display, while the Lumia 640 XL packs an even bigger 5.7-inch display, both of which with HD (720p) resolution.

Lumia 640 also features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1-megapixel camera in the front, while its bigger brother, the Lumia 640 XL comes with a much better 13-megapixel camera in the back and 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Both smartphones are equipped with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 graphics processing units, 1GB RAM and 8GB storage.

However, the Lumia 640 is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery, while the Lumia 640 XL comes with a high capacity 3,000 mAh battery inside.
