The company also took a shot at Sony with a new video

Microsoft enabled backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games, and now Xbox One users can play the games that they already owned for the previous console. Not all of them are available just yet, but there was some confusion on exactly how that is working.

Microsoft launched the new Xbox 360 compatibility feature and was very proud about the accomplishment, but the company forgot a very important step: to clearly explain how this is working, precisely.

So, the Internet began flooding with questions about this feature, even if Microsoft did a very good job and everything is done very easily. A new video has been published and it shows off the new feature and how it can be used. Microsoft didn't settle with just stating the fact, but they also took a very subtle jab at a previous video published by Sony, regarding game sharing on PlayStation 4.

Playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One is easy

There are two scenarios that have been covered by the company, for both digital titles and physical copies. If you want to play a previously bought game, all you need to do is download and play it. If you have a physical disk, you just need to plug it in and install it from there.

Only 100 games are compatible with the new Xbox One, but that seems to be enough for now. Microsoft said that it planned to release more titles in the future. Also, it's possible to play without an Internet connection, after the installation or the download has been completed.

On the other side of this barricade is Sony with its PlayStation 4, and the situation is much clearer over there. Sony has stated clearly that no backwards compatibility will be provided. That's understandable since the processor architecture for PlayStation 3 is very different from the new generation, and it would be a monumental and very expensive process.
