Opera has already confirmed that it’s working to bring its browser on Windows 10 and in a blog post today, the company revealed that the new version of the app would look very similar to the existing one and would offer a similar feature package.

That was something pretty obvious since the new Opera browser will run on the desktop, but the developing team claims that the new browser will be fully compatible with Windows 10, so it’ll run flawlessly just like a native app.

“Of course, we are not going to miss a chance to be a part of this change. We’re currently working on bringing Opera for computers to Windows 10,” the Opera team said. “It will probably look quite similar to Opera for Windows 7 and 8, but we thought you might want to check it out for yourself.”

At this point, a developer build of Opera is already available for download if you’d like to have an early look at the new app, so if you’re running a Windows 10 preview build, this is the best way you can get it right now.

Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

Microsoft Edge will be the new Windows 10 browser that will be offered as the default option in the new operating system, thus replacing Internet Explorer after nearly two decades.

Edge will be available as a universal app and will come with a similar look, feel, and feature package on all Windows 10 devices, including smartphones and PCs.

Obviously, Edge will have several competitors on the desktop side of Windows 10, as not only Opera is working to bring its browser on the new operating system, but also Chrome and Firefox. All major browsers will be tweaked to offer full support for Windows 10, but all of them should already be working fine on the new OS if they are compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
