“We are Microsoft Design, together we can do great things”

Redmond-based software giant has just rolled out a brand-new page design for its Design website, adopting a more modern look that brings it in line with the other products and services that are being overhauled within the company.

Just by looking at it, it’s pretty clear that the new Microsoft Design webpage was designed from the very beginning to look good, but also to provide access to helpful content, so it lets you explore two different key sections to find out more about the mission of this division and get in touch with the community.

You can, for instance, learn more about Microsoft Design’s mission, the products and services that the division has contributed to, but also its evolution over the years.

The website is fully responsive, so it adapts to your screen size, which makes it just perfect on PCs, tablets, and smartphones. This isn’t at all surprising given Microsoft efforts to bring together all these devices, and Windows 10 is living proof that smartphones and PCs can live along together quite nicely.

Satya Nadella’s vision

Ever since he replaced Steve Ballmer at the helm of Microsoft last year, Nadella reorganized the software giant from the ground up and these redesigns are definitely part of his new vision.

Nadella wants a new Microsoft that works together as a single company, but which also has a closer connection with users, who not only buy its products but also can improve them. Windows 10 is again living proof in this regard, and the new Design has the same approach. Nadella’s Microsoft is all about empowering people to do things wherever they are and a motto posted on the new Design page sounds pretty much the same:

‘We are Microsoft Design. And together we can do great things.”

This could be just the first of many redesigns that could follow soon, so expect more websites to be revamped with the same “empowering people to do more” concept in mind.
