New version of Mail now available in the store

Mail and Calendar must be the apps that have received the biggest number of updates since Windows 10 was released on July 29, and a new version is now waiting in the store for users already running this OS.

Just like before, release notes are missing from the download, so in case you were curious to find out what is new in this particular release, you're out of luck.

This is actually one of the frustrating decisions that Microsoft has made for small app updates and OS patches after the release of Windows 10, as the company no longer offers release notes unless there's something major in a new version.

So if you're planning to update Mail and Calendar today, do not expect any big changes, but only bug fixes and performance improvements. That's not a bad thing after all because bug fixes are always welcome, and given the fact that Mail isn't working exactly as expected, make sure you get this new one as soon as possible.

Mail bugs in Windows 10

Microsoft has been working day and night on the mail app integrated into Windows 10, and the last few weeks have brought us several important improvements, including an option to toggle conversation view on or off.

But critical bugs still remain, and one of them is the delay that the app sometimes experiences on Exchange accounts. The app works smoothly 90 percent of the time, but there are moments when it doesn't bring new messages in the inbox on time.

At the same time, it also has a problem reading HTML codes, and we've spotted the very same problem in the email client on Windows Phone when configured with an Exchange account.

Of course, these bugs are expected to be squashed at some point in the future, so always keep an eye on new versions and install them as soon as possible.
