Microsoft and Apple are fighting against each other in multiple ways, but there are two very important areas where the two try to outclass the competition. First of all, they are struggling to offer better products, be they software or hardware, and second of all, they are always looking to innovate more than rivals in order to improve number one.

In terms of innovation, Microsoft is the champion, according to a survey posted by Good&Co, a company that analyzed info from more than 4,300 of its users to “explore ways in which psychometric data can inform our understanding of workplace behavior company culture, and success in the tech industry.”

The results put Microsoft in the first place, with the survey results showing that “Microsoft employees are significantly more innovative than many assume, and on par with tech giants such as Apple and Facebook.”

“Are you the creative kind? Don’t work for Facebook”

And yet, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple and Facebook are doing much worse, although the research notes that you should avoid working for the social network company if you’re looking for a place where your creativity is brought in the spotlight.

“Employees at Apple and Twitter perceive their company cultures as they actually are, meaning they have an accurate idea of the culture fit in their respective jobs,” the research notes.

According to the findings of this study, Microsoft is not at all more conservative than Apple, and the company is actually looking for more “adventurous” employees, and what’s more, there are divisions at the two firms that have the same score for employee adventurousness.

Apple, however, keeps leading the market in a number of ways, and Good&Co claims that Cupertino’s employees surpass Microsoft’s in terms of intellect and attention to detail. Of course, there are all findings that some people, especially those working at one of the companies, might not agree with, so let’s just take it all with a bit of skepticism for now.
