There are still many more devices awaiting the upgrade

Microsoft has just announced that in the first 24 hours since the release of Windows 10, the new operating system has been downloaded on more than 14 million devices.

As the Redmond-based company points out, there are many more devices that have yet to receive the upgrade, but the good news is most of the press has been positive on Windows 10 in their reviews.

“It has been an incredible 24 hours for Windows and our fans. We’re humbled and grateful to see the response to Windows 10.

“We have seen unprecedented demand for Windows 10, with reviews and customer feedback overwhelmingly positive around the globe,” says Microsoft in a blog post.

Furthermore, Microsoft claims that it's already working 24/7 to ensure that the upgrade process continues. The upgrade to Windows 10 is done with quality in mind rather than quantity or anything else, so if you haven't gotten the update yet, then this might be one of the reasons.

Windows 10 has seen unprecedented demand

If you have already reserved your copy of Windows 10, then you should receive a notification in your system tray that will let you know your PC is ready for the upgrade. Or you can use the official Windows 10 ISO files that Microsoft has already released.

To make it easier for non-techies to upgrade to Windows 10, but also for those who have technical issues, Microsoft made available a few support options.

One of these options is provided by Microsoft's own Answer Desks, which are supposed to offer one-on-one technical support during the upgrade process.

Also, Microsoft has teamed up with many retailers, including Best Buy, Bic Camera, Croma, Currys/PC World, Jarrir, Incredible Connection, Media Markt, Staples, Wal-Mar, Yamada, Yodobashi, and many more on programs to help users upgrade to Windows 10.

Last but not least, Microsoft Stores also offer Answer Desk services to assist users with their Windows 10 upgrade.
