Microsoft's Windows boss Terry Myerson revealed today that Windows 10 is already running on 110 million devices, which according to his statements, is clearly well above expectations.

1 billion commands have been sent to Cortana, he said, and Windows 10 adopters have already loaded 650 billion web pages in Microsoft Edge, the new browser that replaces Internet Explorer in the operating system.

Overall, a total of 120 years of gameplay streamed from Xbox to Windows 10 have already been recorded, which is living proof that Microsoft's plan to merge PCs and gaming consoles is going smoothly.

The company has a plan of bringing Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by 2017 and since the operating system is already running on so many PCs, expect this goal to be achieved even before the end of 2016.

Windows 10 Mobile will also launch next month and will help the company bring the operating system on more devices, with the new OS to be offered free of charge to all handsets running Windows Phone.

There are 8 million business PCs running Windows 10, Myerson revealed, and that number is very likely to be increased, as more enterprises discover the benefits of the new operating system.

More statistics will be provided in the next few months, as Windows 10 is delivered to more devices that are eligible for the upgrade.
