14 DAY TRIAL // One of the many Android smartphones that launches every day in India, the Canvas Play 4G is supposed to offer a good price / features ratio for a phablet. Micromax Canvas Play 4G is a dual-SIM smartphone that sports a large display and decent hardware.
Micromax Canvas Play 4G belongs to the phablet category and is now available for purchase in India for Rs 12,499 outright, which is about $190 or €170.
It's also worth mentioning that customers who purchase the Canvas Play 4G via Airtel will also receive introductory double data 4G offer for 6 months, a new report confirms.
The Canvas Play 4G is a mid-range phablet that comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
Micromax's mid-range Android phablet comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
Unimpressive, but decent specs
Hardware-wise, the Canvas Play 4G is equipped with a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Furthermore, the mid-range smartphone packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.
As the name suggests, the handset offers 4G LTE connectivity, but also comes with dual-SIM support. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS support, microUSB 2.0 and FM Radio.
Last but not least, Micromax Canvas Play 4G is powered by a 2,820 mAh battery and features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
