14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax introduced the new Canvas Juice 3 in India last week and the smartphone is already available for purchase for Rs 8,999 ($135 / €120) off contract.
Today, the Indian company has announced that a slightly improved version of the Canvas Juice 3 will be launched in the country by the end of September, fonearena confirms.
The upcoming smartphone is called Micromax Canvas Juice 3+ and comes with a larger display and a better front-facing camera. However, aside from that, there are no differences between the two smartphones' specs.
The only thing that remains to be clarified is when the Canvas Juice 3+ will go on sale in India and for how much. The only thing we can assume at the moment is that it will definitely cost more than the standard model.
Moving on to actual specs, as mentioned earlier, the Canvas Juice 3+ boasts a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
Better front-facing camera for selfie fans
Furthermore, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the back, the Canvas Juice 3+ features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Obviously, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM support, but it does not offer 4G connectivity. Still, owners will be able to take advantage of other connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS support, and microUSB 2.0.
Another strong point of the Canvas Juice 3+ is the fact that it comes with a high-capacity 4,000 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 12 hours of talk time or up to 21 days of standby time.
Micromax Canvas Juice 3+ will come preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, and it will be available from online and brick and mortar stores across the country.
