Mobile phone users in India can now purchase a new smartphone coming from Micromax, in the form of Canvas Elanza 2 A121, which was spotted on the handset vendor’s website only last week.

The new mobile phone arrives on the market with highly appealing specs, at a very affordable price tag, which should easily make it a popular phone among budget-oriented users.

Today, the Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 is available for purchase online via Infibeam at only Rs. 9340 ($156 / €113), in a Black color flavor. As fonearena notes, Micromax should launch it officially very soon.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone comes to the market with a large 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, the new device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8212 processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM, thus capable of offering pretty decent performance capabilities to all users.

The specification list of Canvas Elanza 2 A121 also includes 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that can accommodate memory cards of up to 32GB in size.

On the back, the handset features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, capable of recording videos in HD (720p) resolution, complemented by a 2MP front camera with auto-focus.

What’s more, the new Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 was listed online with support for 3G HSPA+ networks (21Mbps on the downlink / 5.76Mbps on the uplink), as well as with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and with a built-in GPS receiver.

At the same time, it sports dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) capabilities right from the start, with dual-standby functionality, so that users could take advantage of both SIM cards at the same time.

Micromax also packed the new Canvas Elanza 2 A121 with a 3.5mm audio jack, a microUSB port, and FM Radio, while including a 2000mAh battery in it, which can offer up to 7.5 hours of talk time, or up to 240 hours of standby time.

The smartphone runs under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system right from the start, but we can assume that it will receive an upgrade to a newer platform iteration, considering the hardware specs it features.

Those of you who would like to learn more on the Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 or to place an order for it should head over to Infibeam’s website for that.
