The Indian market is well known for its cheapest Android smartphones, so the next device launched by Micromax shouldn't come as a surprise.

Dubbed one of the most affordable 4.5-inch smartphones available in India, Micromax Bolt Q339 is now available for purchase in the country for just Rs 3,499 outright, which is about $55 or €45.

The smartphone has nothing that would make it stand out from other handsets in the same price range, but it does offer decent specs for what you pay.

Micromax Bolt Q339 comes preloaded with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box and is likely to remain on this version of the platform.

Apart from that, it packs support for 10 Indian languages and many useful apps and services like Hotstar, CleanMaster, Quikr, Scandid and more, a new report confirms.

It's exclusively available via Flipkart

When it comes to specs, Bolt Q339 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-400 graphics processing unit and only 512MB of RAM.

Even though it packs only 4GB of storage inside, users can further expand internal memory up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

There's also a 5-megapixel camera on the back, which features fixed focus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls and selfies.

Connectivity-wise, Micromax Bolt Q330 offers both 3G and dual-SIM support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

The affordable dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1,650 mAh battery, which should provide up to 5.5 hours of talk time or up to 280 hours of standby time.

“Bolt Q339 is one of the most affordable 4.5 inch, 3G Quad core devices in the Indian market. We believe that the new offering being available through Flipkart that has a reach across the length and breadth of the country, coupled with Micromax’s trusted product quality and after-sales service track record, creates a compelling proposition to delight the Indian consumer,” said Mr. Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax.
