The development team at Kojima Productions and publisher Konami have impressed a lot of PC gamers by announcing that they will be launching Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on September 1 on the platform in order to keep parity with the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The two companies are now also ready to reveal the system requirements for the title, which comes in two flavors.

When it comes to the minimum required to comfortably play Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, gamers will have to run either Windows 7 or 8 using the 64-bit architecture, with the processor at least an Intel Core i5-4460.

4 GB of RAM are required and a DirectX 11 graphics card, and at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 with 3 GB of memory is needed.

The game will take up 28 GB of hard drive space.

The recommended system requirements for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain include the same operating system choices, an Intel Core i7-4790 with 8 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 graphics card.

Gamers who get the game on the PC via Steam can get access to the Ground Zeroes prequel right now for free.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on PC will offer some unique features

In an official update, the developers who are handling the port are saying that they will optimize the game as much as possible, to cover the many hardware choices gamers have access to.

Kojima Productions is adding, "We’ve listened to this feedback and are implementing separate settings for a variety of the controls related to graphics. This will be implemented for in-game activity, but I’m afraid we can’t change setting differences for cutscenes."

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will offer 4K resolution, and Windows 10 will be supported after launch via a patch.

Custom soundtracks and Steam trading cards are also offered for the game.

The team is also welcoming post-launch feedback in order to deliver the patches required to make sure that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain runs as well as possible on the PC.
