US-based company InFocus is starting to be known in India thanks to its cheap, but decently specced smartphones. The latest device officially introduced by the handset maker is called InFocus M808 and belongs to the mid-range category.

The smartphone comes with octa-core CPU, Android Lollipop and a stylish design emphasized by the full metal body.

According to a new report, InFocus M808 is now exclusively available in India via Snapdeal. Customers can choose between Silver and Golden color variants, but they will have to come up with Rs 12,999 ($195 / €185) upfront to get the M808.

InFocus M808 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and InLife UI on top. Additional apps and services will be included as well.

Hardware-wise, the M808 looks pretty decent thanks to its 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the handset sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, which is quite unusual for a mid-range smartphone with such price.

At the back, InFocus M808 packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, whereas in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

InFocus M808 comes with 16GB of storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Also, it offers both dual-SIM and 4G LTE support.

Last but not least, the mid-range handset is powered by a non-removable 2,450 mAh battery and fully supports USB OTG (on-the-go).

“The kind of overwhelming consumer response we received for our last flagship launch of M812 reaffirmed our belief that today’s style conscious smartphone users are looking for a device which sets them apart from the crowd, with an aspiring design and stellar performance.

“Full metal design is undoubtedly the true benchmark for premium looks and with InFocus M808, we have yet again accomplished the best in the category design with a delightful performance,” said Sachin Thapar, country head, InFocus India.
