Chinese handset maker Meizu is expected to launch at least one more high-end Android smartphone by the end of the year.

Since the latest rumors claim the company might in fact axe its Pro line of high-end smartphones, the Pro version of MX5 is likely to be cut from Meizu's 2015 roadmap.

However, Meizu might still be interested in releasing an even better Android device, which is known as MX5 Pro Plus. As the name suggests, Meizu MX5 Pro Plus is an enhanced version of the MX5 Pro, which hasn't even been announced yet.

The first alleged live images of the Meizu MX5 Pro Plus have just been published by DroidFeet, along with some of the phone's specs.

Still, since the information regarding the MX5 Pro Plus hasn't been confirmed yet, we don't even know whether or not the smartphone will be launched on the market.

That being said, we recommend our readers to take the information with a grain of salt until more details on the phone pop up online. Until then, let's see what Meizu MX5 Pro Plus has to offer in terms of specs.

Exynos CPU and Quad HD display

First of all, the MX5 Pro Plus is said to be equipped with an Exynos 7420 processor, 4GB of RAM and at least 16GB of internal memory.

The new handset might not be the only smartphone launched by Meizu to pack an Exynos 7420 chipset, but these are just speculations at the moment.

The smartphone will also pack a 20.7-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. Last but not least, Meizu MX5 Pro Plus should boast a large 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Meizu MX5 Pro Plus is likely to be announced in the coming months, but it might not be available until October / November.
