Meizu has already confirmed it will unveil its next flagship smartphone on June 30, but we thought the MX5 will only be launched in China.

However, it looks like the Chinese company has bigger plans for its high-end smartphone, as Meizu India has just confirmed the MX5 will be launched in this country as well.

Unfortunately, we can't confirm whether the Meizu MX5 will be available for purchase from June 30 or the Chinese company will bring it to India sometime in July.

But we do know that Meizu MX5 might be priced at 1,799 yuan in China, which translates to about $290 or €245 outright. If rumors prove to be accurate, then the MX5 could be great bang for the buck considering what it has to offer in terms of specs.

Most of the phone's specs have already been leaked

Speaking of which, the rumor mill has already “confirmed” the most important MX5's specs, but we're sure Meizu still has some surprises that will be revealed later today.

That being said, let's see what you should expect from Meizu's upcoming flagship smartphone. Well, first of all, the MX5 will be powered by a newer version of Flyme OS, which is based on Android Lollipop operating system.

Hardware-wise, Meizu MX5 is said to be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6795T Helio X10 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. We're still waiting for confirmation on microSD card slot for memory expansion.

On the back, the MX5 is said to pack an advanced 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony sensor, LED flash, autofocus and 4K video recording, while in the front there should be a 5-megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording.

Last but not least, Meizu MX5 is likely to boast a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that should support full HD (1080p) resolution.
