A few days ago, Meizu’s Blue Charm Metal 2 stopped by TENAA which provided some specs on the upcoming device. Now, it seems that the Chinese consumer electronics company is attempting to speed up the process and has already sent out invitations to the official unveiling event, held on June 13.

The event will take place in China and start at 14:00 local time. The Blue Charm Metal 2 is considered to be the successor to the Blue Charm Metal, released last year. Mobipicker reported that their source provided some interesting specs on the upcoming device, some that don’t really match the previous TENAA listing. It will be interesting to see what device Meizu will launch on June 13.

Nevertheless, the source stated that the upcoming smartphone will have a full metal body that incorporates a 3000mAh battery. It’s expected to come with a fingerprint scanner embedded inside the home button.

Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2 could come in two variants

Some rumors say that Meizu might actually launch two variants of the phone, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the other might have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The smartphone could come with a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP for the selfie snapper. It could also be offered in multiple metallic color options.

The phone’s display could reach 5.5 inches with 1080p resolution. The TENAA listing reveals that the smartphone could run Android Lollipop 5.1, which would be quite surprising.

Prices for the two smartphone variants could reach $121 (€107) for the 2GB and 16GB of storage variant and $136 (€120). The price seems really appealing, but it remains to be seen if rumored specs will actually be confirmed during Meizu’s unveiling event on June 13.
