Mariah Carey always speaks her mind and she’s famous for that. The other thing that Mariah is famous for her is her voice, which has made her one of the highest selling artists of all times.

On a recent trip to Israel, the diva was asked how she felt about all those teenagers and young men and women looking to be famous no matter what, and she laid down the law: this is a very common occurrence and she doesn’t approve of it.

She offered the example of reality stars, who have no “craft or an art” to distinguish them from the rest of the population.

“Today, you can be famous just from being on a reality… well, doing… you don’t really have to do much, but you kinda gotta do a lot. And then your whole life is just about being a celebrity and that’s what some people aspire to, because it’s easy and because then everybody knows them and all they see is the bright side of fame,” she explained, as the video below will show.

You can tell that she’s trying really hard not to appear too mean or judgy, but at the same time wanting to give an answer true to her beliefs. And Mariah obviously believes that being a reality star is easy and a cheater’s path to fame.

To think that Kim Kardashian once said that being a reality star was actually harder than being an entertainer, because selling yourself to the audience in a way that gets them to tune in for a new episode was a huge task compared to selling music or movies.

For the record, no, Mariah would not like to work in this particular field of showbiz.
