This includes being allowed to sleep with her only on Mondays, having to go through the motions and do the gestures she considers the most romantic, never smoking in her presence, and never mentioning her soon-to-be-ex-husband Nick Cannon by name, Star Magazine reports.
Mariah lays down the rules, James plays by them
According to the report, Mariah is very strict about the way she should be wooed. She has a certain idea of romance and how it should play out, and she wants to make sure that James lives up to her expectations of it.
So, he’s not allowed to be intimate with her on any other day but on a Monday, because there’s an entire beauty routine that Mariah does that helps her look and feel her best on that day. She also believes anticipation is the best part of the dating game, so by setting only one day a week for lovemaking, she’s sure she gets plenty of it.
James has to have a bottle of champagne on ice at all times, because Mariah always finds reasons to celebrate. And what is a proper celebration without a flute of her favorite bubbly?
He also has to make sure that her music is always blasting on the speakers of the room they happen to be in, that there are plenty of humidifiers around and that he’s pampering her. That includes providing her with surprise spa treats, but also washing her hair in the tub and spoon-feeding her over dinner. She finds that very romantic, the report argues.
Nick Cannon’s name can’t be brought up
Mariah and Nick Cannon were married for 6 years and are now in the process of getting a divorce. They have 2 children together, whom Packer has met when he took the singer on a yacht vacation in the Mediterranean last month.
Insiders tell Star that Mariah only refers to Nick as “my children’s father” and that she has banned James from ever saying Nick’s name in her presence.
The diva admitted in a recent interview that she’d been through a lot of pain and heartbreak in the past year, so maybe that’s her way of trying to move on from it.
Another rule that Mariah has set for James is that he must check in with her at all times, something that Nick would refuse to do in the final months of their marriage and which is believed to have precipitated the split.
“She wants to try to trip him up to see if he’s where he says he is,” a tipster shares. “And somehow, she always has a way to find out if he’s telling the truth.”
