In June this year, word got out that Sports Illustrated babe Kate Upton, aka one of the most sought-after models working today, who also happens to be very famous for her generous curves, had lost her very lucrative endorsement deal with the makers of the mobile game Game of War.

Moreover, it was said that the person whom she had lost it to wasn’t even a model, but singer Mariah Carey. The deal had apparently been prompted by Mariah’s willingness to offer her music up for the game, but only on the condition that she became the new face (and body) for it.

The new ad is out now, and indeed, it does see Kate replaced with Mariah - but only for about 2 seconds of the entire runtime. Whereas the Kate ads were heavily focused on her (you can see one of them embedded below, for comparison), this one is centered on Mariah’s music.

The same sample of her hit “Hero” is featured 3 times in a row, to the point where it might even be perceived as a bit of an annoyance, and she only appears onscreen for a few seconds. She makes it worth it though, because she’s shown doing the most physical exercise ever, by actually breaking into a run.

Mariah is the ultimate diva, and she’ll probably be the first to tell you so. This is a woman who doesn’t even walk around on stage during her own shows, having instead hunky men carry her around. Seeing her turn and break into a run has been deemed such a historical moment in showbiz that Gawker made sure to capture it in the GIF below.

They also believe that Mariah’s face is CGI-ed onto a body double, which seems very likely. Check it out.
