Immediately after announcing the release of the second RC build of Manjaro Linux KDE 15.09, Philip Müller published details about the Manjaro Linux Xfce 15.09 Release Candidate 2 operating system.

According to the announcement, this is the second of three Release Candidate builds for the upcoming Manjaro Linux Xfce 15.09 distribution and ships with the same Linux 4.1 LTS kernel and Xfce 4.12 desktop environment packages that were available on the first RC build.

Just like Manjaro Linux KDE 15.09 RC2, the second RC build of the Manjaro Linux Xfce 15.09 operating system ships with the long-term supported Linux 4.1 kernel to provide users with long-term viability, top-notch features, as well as the best hardware support available on the market.

Prominent features of Manjaro Linux Xfce 15.09 RC2 include the addition of Calamares as the alternative graphical installer to Thus and the command-line installer, Menda theme improvements, Manjaro Settings Manager enhancements, Pamac 2.4.1 and Octopi 0.7.1 package managers, as well as the latest Steam for Linux client.

"The Xfce edition remains our flagship offering and has received the attention it deserves. Few can claim to offer such a polished, integrated and leading-edge Xfce experience. We ship Xfce 4.12 with this release of Manjaro," says Philip Müller on behalf of the Manjaro Linux Team.

Users can also test Manjaro Linux KDE 15.09 RC2

As usual, you can download the second Release Candidate build of Manjaro Linux Xfce 15.09 right from Softpedia, where the distro is distributed as Live DVD ISO images for 32-bit or 64-bit architectures, and take it for a test drive. However, please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version and it's not ready for production use.

We remind everyone that the Manjaro Linux Team also seeded that second Release Candidate build of the forthcoming Manjaro Linux KDE 15.09 operating system, for which we wrote a separate article where you can find all the juicy details from the official release notes and, of course, the download links.
