On the first day of December, the Manjaro project leader, Mr. Philip Müller, revealed the codename of the next stable version of the Arch Linux-based computer operating system, as well as some other juicy details about its development cycle.

According to Mr. Müller, the month of December will be a busy one for Manjaro, as the project is preparing for the next major version, Manjaro Linux 15.12, which will be dubbed Capella. The release schedule of Manjaro Linux 15.12 was published as well, revealing the fact that the first Release Candidate (RC) build lands on December 7, followed by a second RC release on December 14, 2015.

"Hi all, as I start my vacation from the 7th of December I've some time to plan and develop for Manjaro a little more. However I'll be also out for skiing and other stuff than just hacking and coding," said Philip Müller. "First feedback we will get next Monday. Also Roland Singer is hard working on the new homepage, which should be released also this December to the public. Fingers crossed it all plays out as planned."

Manjaro Linux 15.12 arrives on December 22

And now for the good news, as Mr. Müller informed us that the final release of the Manjaro Linux 15.12 operating system would be publically available just before Christmas, on December 22, 2015. By then, the Manjaro project will also receive a new and more modern website developed by Roland Singer.

That being said, it looks like the Manjaro developers have a busy month ahead of them. On this occasion, we would like to wish a great vacation to Philip Müller. Next week, on December 7, we will write another article to inform you, guys, about the availability for download and testing of Manjaro Linux 15.12 Release Candidate 1.
