The Manjaro development team, through Philip Müller, had the great pleasure of announcing that the first update pack for the recently released Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 distribution is now live.

Manjaro Update 2015-06-22 is here to fix some of the issues that were present in Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 and reported by users in the last couple of weeks, as well as to update many of the core components of the distribution to their latest versions available at the time of publishing the update.

Therefore, we can report that Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 gets the latest KDE Framework 5.11, Linux kernel 3.12.44 LTS, Linux kernel 3.18.15 LTS, Linux kernel 4.1 RC8, X.Org Server 1.17.2, Cinnamon 2.6.8, Calamares 1.1 RC3, Pamac 2.3.3, Bluez 5.31, the latest MATE desktop environment, updated Asian fonts by Adobe, Nvidia 352.21 video driver, as well as fixes for Compiz08 and Python.

"One week passed after we released Manjaro 0.8.13 to the public. We had already over 38.900 downloads so far. With almost 23.000 downloads just for or Xfce edition we see that we did a great job on our flagship edition. Still we had over 12.600 downloads for KDE5 so far. Regardless these stats Manjaro continues to get better each day," says Philip Müller on behalf of the Manjaro Development Team.

OpenRC and Consolekit issues have been fixed

In addition to the updated packages mentioned above, Manjaro Update 2015-06-22 fixes various issues with the OpenRC init system, as well as with Consolekit. At the moment, Manjaro Linux supports the following Linux kernels: 4.0.5, 3.19.8.1 SES, 3.18.15 LTS, 3.16.7.13 SES, 3.14.44 LTS, 3.13.11.21 SES, 3.12.44 LTS, 3.10.80 LTS, and 4.1 RC8 LTS.
