Today, May 11, 2016, Manjaro Linux creator Philip Müller teased the community with the fact that the entire infrastructure of the Manjaro project will get a much-needed overhaul.

We reported last week that full disk encryption is coming to Manjaro Linux soon, as part of the upcoming Calamares 2.3 graphical installer framework, and now Manjaro leader informs us that users should expect to see a fresh forum design, an updated Wiki, as well as several other goodies to the project's infrastructure.

The revamp is expected to make its official debut later this month or in early June, as part of the launch of the next major version of the Arch Linux-based operating system, Manjaro Linux 16.06 "Daniella." In the meantime, the Manjaro devs announced the migration of the site's SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt.

"With our new friends at DigitalOcean we are currently reconstructing our infrastructure for Manjaro Linux. We will ship soon a new fresh forum, updated wiki and other nice features to go along with our upcoming 16.06 distribution release," said Philip Müller. "The new SSL certificates will be soon available thx to Let’sEncrypt."

Manjaro Linux 16.06 is launching soon with many new features

With three preview builds out the door, the final Manjaro Linux 16.06 "Daniella" release is expected to hit the streets in the coming weeks, bringing a whole lot of new features and improvements over the current stable release, Manjaro Linux 15.12 "Capella," which received its eighteenth update pack at the end of last week.

Until the major infrastructure revamp kicks in, Manjaro Linux users who want to access the project's mailinglist will have to follow the instructions provided by the Manjaro team to bypass the expired SSL certificate. More details about Manjaro Linux 16.06 "Daniella" should be available soon!
