14 DAY TRIAL // Very little about America’s former Number 1 family, shown on the TLC reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, was true, according to a new report. June Shannon, aka Mama June, and Mike Thompson, aka Sugar Bear, were portrayed as a solid couple, despite their open aversion to the institution of marriage.
It turns out that he’s gay and in the closet, Mama June has been telling friends, according to Life & Style magazine. She found out just recently as well, and is still having some issues getting him to own up to it.
Sugar Bear is gay, got caught
If you recall, in September 2014, long before Mama June rekindled a relationship with a convicted pedophile, which led to the cancelation of the reality show, she caught Sugar Bear prowling dating sites, trying to hook up with randoms behind her back.
They announced their separation and he moved out of the house they had shared up until that point. However, sometime after the pedophile scandal, he moved back in, with Mama June insisting in her chats with the press that they weren’t together “in that way” but merely sharing the same house for the sake of the kids.
In reality, they have been inseparable since, which brings some weight to older rumors that the entire “cheating scandal” was a PR stunt meant to revive interest in their once-oh-so-successful reality series.
Or was it? As per the aforementioned publication, Sugar Bear is in the habit of prowling dating sites and arranging dates with strangers for money, but they’re never women.
“[She’s] trying to get Sugar Bear to admit he’s gay!” says the spy. She caught him herself, finding compromising photos of men on his phone, as well as text messages from guys he’d been with, reminding him he still owed them money.
“He denies it every time June confronts him,” the insider continues. “Mama June should have left Sugar Bear for good a long time ago.”
She did not, but she will soon, because the tipster doesn’t see how this could end well.
Mama June herself is bisexual
That is, if you believe anything that comes out of her mouth anymore. The disgraced reality star, who showed her true colors when she got involved again with the ex who had served 10 years behind bars for molesting her own daughter when she was just 8, has a long history of bending the truth to earn public sympathy.
In the middle of the pedophile scandal, for instance, she claimed that she “might” have cancer because she was feeling very sick, even though she was yet to see a specialist.
Then, this year, just when people had stopped talking about her, she “came out” as bisexual in a joint interview with daughter Pumpkin, who is openly gay. She needed the attention because she’s trying to make a music career happen for Honey Boo Boo, now that the reality show is long dead in the water.
