Apple seeds the third Public Beta build of El Capitan

As expected after yesterday's announcement of the fifth Beta build of the forthcoming Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating system, Apple started seeding earlier today, August 4, the fourth Public Beta build of OS X El Capitan 10.11 to users worldwide.

Therefore, anyone who wants to take the Beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan for a test drive on their Mac computers can do so right now by enrolling in the Apple Beta Software Program for OS X, then redeem their code for the Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan installer free of charge.

Existing Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Public Beta users can upgrade to the fourth Public Beta build released on August 4 directly from the Mac App Store application (see below for details on how to do that).

As usual, there are no detailed release notes for the new Public Beta build of Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, except for the short line of text that recommends everyone to install the update as soon as possible, something that we also recommend, as it fixes many of the issues from the previous Public Beta build.

Here's how to update to Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Public Beta 4

If you're using OS X 10.11 El Capitan Public Beta 3 on your Mac computer, you can update to the OS X 10.11 El Capitan Public Beta 4 build right now by firing up the Mac App Store, going to the Updates tab, and waiting for the app to list existing updates.

When the "OS X El Capitan Public Beta 4" entry appears on the list of updates, click the "Update" button in front of it, and immediately click the "Download & Restart" button. Wait for the update to be downloaded, which could take a while, depending on your Internet connection, and reboot your Mac to apply the update. That's it!
