Immediately after announcing the release of the second Beta build of the upcoming iOS 8.4.1 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, Apple started seeding the OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite Beta 2 build to Mac users enrolled in its Apple Developer Program.

Just like in the case of iOS 8.4.1 Beta 2, there are no release notes for the second Beta build of the upcoming Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite software update, except for the usual line of text that it improves the overall stability, performance, and security of your Mac computer.

There will be a few more Beta releases before the OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite update becomes stable and available to all users of OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite, but until then, many will start migrating to the anticipated OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating system, which is currently at Beta 5 for developers and Public Beta 3 for the rest of the world.

Here's how to install OS X 10.10.5 Beta 2 Yosemite

Those of you who are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program and are running the OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite Beta 1 operating system can update to the second Beta build by opening the Mac App Store application, going to the Updates tab, and applying the update after it appears on the list.

If you don't have the first Beta build of OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite installed on your iMac, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air computer, and you are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, and you want to jump ship from the stable version of Yosemite, you can find all the information you need on your Apple Developer account.
