mBlox has announced that its mobile message-delivery platform has been selected to support textPlus, a new text-messaging application for the
iPhone and iPod touch from GOGII, Inc. Self-touted as the world’s largest, mobile transaction network, mBlox claims textPlus has been downloaded by more than two million iPhone and iPod touch users since its launch in June 2009. The service has reportedly distributed more than 155 million messages across the US, via mBlox’s mobile message-delivery and -billing solution.

According to the official iTunes App Store description, textPlus (available for free download using the link below) brings iPhone owners group-messaging features typical to desktop computers. Users can organize activities with several friends at the same time, introduce people to each other or just carry on a group conversation. Once a text is sent to group members, the message becomes a group conversation. The software requires iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later and can be used on an iPod touch just as good.
