Maren Hachmann has had the great pleasure of informing us about the immediate availability for download of the m23 Rock 15.1 open-source software deployment and management system for GNU/Linux operating systems.

According to the release notes, m32 Rock 15.1 brings a significant number of changes and improvements, among which we can mention support for UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) on m23 clients, better support for deployments using the BitTorrent P2P protocol, a completely revamped script editor, and enhanced m23 CLI (Command-line Interface).

"The latest m23 release 'rock 15.1' contains a whole lot of changes and improvements. Some of these are changes 'under the hood,' for example the completely rewritten partitioning and formatting routines, plus some small changes to the corresponding parts of the web interface, while other changes are rather obvious, like the fully redesigned script editor," reads the official release announcement.

m23 Rock 15.1 includes many under-the-hood changes

In addition to the new features mentioned above, the Rock 15.1 release of the number one deployment and management system for Linux kernel-based operating system includes numerous under-the-hood changes, such as fully rewritten formatting and partitioning routines, as well as essential enhancements to various components of the m23's web interface.

Among other changes, we can mention the inclusion of an icon in the client control center that will help users delete the respective client, a new script, called getAllDebianDesktopPackages, has been added to help you list all Debian packages that can be used for installing desktop environments, and the kernel packages are now based on the upstream Linux kernel 3.18.12 LTS.

Last but not least, it is now possible to delete packages in package selections that have been fetched from a set of packages installed on an existing m23 client.
