This looks pretty nice and exciting for Windows Phone fans

Now it would be a good time to be a Windows Phone or Android fan since both Microsoft and Google are planning big reveals in the next couple of weeks.

The search giant will be the first to come out with its new Nexus smartphones on September 29, but Microsoft will follow closely with its own launch event scheduled for October 6.

At least two new smartphones powered by Windows 10 Mobile will be announced by Microsoft on October 6: Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

Both premium devices will be available for pre-order about a week after their official unveiling, but there's no telling which countries will get these Lumia smartphones first.

We do know they will be launched in the United States and that all major carriers in the country will offer these Windows 10 Mobile handsets, but it remains to be seen when and for how much.

It's as close to the final version as possible

For the time being, let's see what Microsoft has in store for its fans. We reported earlier today about new CAD renders of the Lumia 950 XL, which also came with a 360-degree video that shows the outsides of the smartphone.

Well, it looks like the same @OnLeaks has just published a CAD render of the Lumia 950 in white. This isn't a fan made render, but a factory CAD which is usually given to case makers, so the device in the image is as close to the real thing as possible.

While the image does not reveal anything new in terms of specs, we can see that the back side of the Lumia 950 features Microsoft's logo right under the main camera.

The embossed Microsoft logo could have another color than the color of the smartphone to make it more obvious, but that's something that we'll most likely see when the Redmond-based company makes the Lumia 950 official.
