Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are the next high-end phones that Microsoft's planning to launch, and both are expected to make their public debut at the company's hardware event on October 6.

In the meantime, the two phones have made their online debut through Microsoft's UK website, which is pretty much the very first official confirmation that the company's giving for both devices.

Both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are available in the UK store, but no pricing details have been disclosed yet, so it's hard to say whether the recently leaked prices are accurate or not.

The product listings, however, confirm some of the specs that have leaked online recently, including the screen size and storage options.

Technical specifications

According to Microsoft's website, here are some Lumia 950 specs:

5.2-inch WQHD display
20MP camera with ZEISS optics
32GB storage and microSD card support
Windows 10
If you want to go for the bigger Lumia 950 XL, here are its specs:
5.7-inch WQHD display
20MP camera with ZEISS optics
32GB storage and microSD card support
Windows 10
Microsoft doesn't say anything about CPU and RAM, but previous leaks pointed out that the Lumia 950 was likely to come with a Snapdragon 808, while the bigger sibling could bring a Snapdragon 810 unit. In terms of RAM, both could feature 3GB for flawless performance in Windows 10 Mobile.

A number of premium features will also be offered, such as iris scanner for Windows Hello authentication and USB Type-C, which will be used for both charging and PC connectivity.

Both devices will debut on October 6, but sales are very likely to start in November, when Windows 10 Mobile will be ready for everyone. Alongside the new Lumias, Microsoft is very likely to use the upcoming event to also introduce the Surface Pro 4 tablet and the Band 2 smart wristband.
