The smartphones are now confirmed to arrive on December 24

Windows Phone fans in Canada that managed to order any of the two Windows 10 smartphones launched by Microsoft are in for a major disappointment.

After a brief pre-order period late last month, both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL were sold out in the country and Microsoft has yet to announce when the smartphones might be available once again.

However, it looks like the Redmond-based company has changed the arrival date for both devices, as spotted by MobileSyrup.

Although Microsoft originally stated that orders would ship by December 11, it looks like both high-end Lumia smartphones won't arrive in Canada until December 24, which is clearly not something that a customer would be thrilled about.

Hopefully, none will arrive after Christmas

If you've been planning to make yourself a Christmas gift out of the Lumia 950/950 XL, or simply want to convert someone to Windows Phone, this will be a very close call.

Having your Lumia 950/950 XL device delivered on Christmas Eve is not really something that anyone would want, especially for those who won't be home for Christmas.

Not to mention that there's always the chance that the delivery might not arrive on time and you could get your Lumia 950/950 XL only after Christmas.

To make things better for those who order any of the two smartphones to have them delivered on Christmas Eve, Microsoft is offering deals on accessory bundles for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

They don't come for free, but they have been heavily discounted by Microsoft to sweeten the deal. If you plan on getting any of these accessories, you might even receive them earlier than your Lumia 950/950 XL device.

It's also worth mentioning that Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are not available for purchase via Microsoft Store Canada for quite some time now, and we have no info on their availability yet.
