With less than a month left until the release of Windows 10 for PC, more details on the upcoming Lumia flagship smartphones that Microsoft is expected to unveil later this year continue to emerge.

Even though we already know most of the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL specs, it looks like we now have some info on how much Windows Phone fans will have to pay to get any of the two upcoming smartphones.

Dutch blog MyWindows.nl reports a source close to the matter claims both Lumia 940 XL and Lumia 940 will be priced higher than Samsung Galaxy S6 or even the iPhone 6.

Considering the fact that the Galaxy S6 is available on the market for around €600, while the iPhone 6 is priced at around €700, you can imagine how much the Lumia smartphones will cost.

Obviously, the Lumia 940 XL will be the more expensive of the two, which means the Lumia 940 will cost at least €700 outright at launch.

According to the same sources, both Lumia flagship smartphones will be available for purchase beginning November, but an exact release date is likely to be announced along with the Windows 10 Mobile launch.

Both will support Continuum, but an additional adapter will be needed

Another piece of information that the Dutch blog claim it's been confirmed by their source is the fact that both Lumia smartphones will be made of polycarbonate, which means there won't be any metal included.

Last but not least, it appears that both smartphones will come with Continuum support. However, Microsoft will launch an adapter in early 2016, which will enable this feature for both Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL.

But the adapter won't come for free and those who want to purchase it will have to come up with no less than €100. So there you have it folks, would you be willing to pay that much for a high-end Windows Phone?
