Microsoft hasn't been too clear on which devices will be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile and which ones will remain on Windows Phone 8.1.

Even though there are a few Lumia smartphones that have been confirmed to be Windows 10 ready, as well as a handful announced by other OEMs, Microsoft has yet to announce the minimum requirements for the upgrade.

It looks like the folks over at WindowsMania.pl got their hands on a list of Qualcomm SoCs that are compatible with Windows 10 Mobile.

According to the table, if your Lumia smartphone is equipped with one of the Qualcomm chipsets in the list, then it's eligible for a Windows 10 Mobile upgrade.

Some of you will probably immediately recognize that smartphones like Lumia 535, Lumia 630, Lumia 635, and Lumia 735 qualify for Windows 10 Mobile updates.

Microsoft has yet to announce requirements for Windows 10 Mobile upgrades

Even the entry-level Lumia 520, the most popular Windows Phone handset to date, which is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8227 chipset, seems to be eligible for a Windows 10 Mobile upgrade later this year.

Some smartphones launched by other manufacturers, like the HTC 8S for example, which is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8627 chipset, might qualify for the update as well.

However, since Microsoft did not mention any other requirements needed in order to be eligible for a Windows 10 Mobile upgrade, it's hard to tell whether or not the company plans to offer the update too even the cheapest smartphones available on the market.

The upper part of the table in the picture attached to the article, confirms some of the new SoCs that will be supported by Windows 10 Mobile.

As we reported to you earlier this week, Windows 10 Mobile supports Intel's SoFIA LTE chipset, so Microsoft might release new smartphones next year based on this chipset.

Also, the new Qualcomm MSM8994, MSM8992, MSMS8952, MSM8909 and MSM8208 are on the list of supported SoCs for Windows 10 Mobile, too.
