14 DAY TRIAL // Immediately after he pushed the Linux 4.1.28 kernel update to the stable channels, Sasha Levin announced the general availability of the thirty-seventh maintenance release for the Linux 3.18 LTS kernel series.
Linux kernel 3.18.37 LTS arrives approximately three weeks after the debut of Linux kernel 3.18.36 LTS, changing a total of 276 files, with 2,687 insertions and 1,795 deletions, improving support for several widely used hardware architectures. Among them are SPARC, ARM64 (AArch64), ARM, MIPS, ARC, PowerPC (PPC), s390, and x86, but also fixing issues for the XFS, Btrfs, CIFS, NFS, EXT4, NILFS2, and UBIFS filesystems.

Updated drivers, networking, and sound stack enhancements
Also new in the Linux kernel 3.18.37 LTS update are many improved drivers, this time for ATA, GPU (mostly Radeon, Nouveau, and Intel i915), CLK, Crypto, HID, hwmon, I2C, InfiniBand, touchscreen, mouse, MTD, Ethernet (Broadcom, Atheros and Freescale), PPP, WAN, Wireless, PCI, PINCTRL, RTC, SCSI, TTY, SPI, USB, and Xen devices, as well as networking and sound stack enhancements.
While the networking stack in Linux kernel 3.18.37 LTS brings updates for the IPv6, IPv4, L2TP, B.A.T.M.A.N. Advanced, mac80211, packet scheduler, SunRPC, SCTP, X.25, XFRM, VSOCK, Bridge, LLC, and Netfilter components, the improved sound stack contains new and improved audio codecs for various Samsung devices. Of course, there are also the usual core kernel and mm fixes.
