The Ubuntu MATE is missing from the ISO image

We've just been informed by the Linux AIO team, a group of developers that create all-in-one Live ISO images with the hottest editions of a popular GNU/Linux operating system, that they have released Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS.

Mr. Željko Popivoda from the Linux AIO team reports that Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS is now available for download and, as its version number suggests, it is based on the latest point release of Canonical's Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, including the Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS, Kubuntu 14.04.3 LTS, Ubuntu GNOME 14.04.3 LTS, Xubuntu 14.04.3 LTS, and Lubuntu 14.04.3 LTS flavors.

Of course, Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS is distributed (see download link at the end of the article) as two DVD-size ISO images, one for each of the supported hardware architectures, 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64). Unfortunately, the Ubuntu MATE edition has not been included in this updated Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04 ISO image because there's no Ubuntu MATE 14.04.3 LTS release available at this time.

"As you can see it comes without Ubuntu MATE, which was on previous Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.2 release. The latest 14.04 release of Ubuntu MATE is 14.02.2 and Ubuntu MATE team decided not to publish new 14.04 releases," says Željko Popivoda in an email to Softpedia. "It will, however, be on Linux AIO Ubuntu 15.10 release and every next release, until it follows every official Ubuntu release. This also means for any other distro on Linux AIO Ubuntu release."

All your Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS editions under a single roof

We will take this opportunity to remind those of you who don't know what Linux AIO's ISO images are good for. They are all-in-one Live ISO images that contain all the essential Live CD editions of a popular GNU/Linux operating system, which you can write on a single USB stick or DVD disc and carry with you anywhere you go, without the need to have 4-5 separate CDs/DVDs or USB keys with each flavor of the respective OS.

Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS has been designed for users of Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS who want to have the Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, and Ubuntu Live CD editions on a single USB stick and boot whichever they like with ease. Download Linux AIO Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS for 64-bit and 32-bit computers right now from Softpedia. More Linux AIO editions can be found on the project's website.
