14 DAY TRIAL // Lindsay Lohan hasn’t had a theatrical release since the 2013 critically panned “The Canyons” and her acting career doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, but she was still expected to make an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival 2015 last weekend.
Apparently, she’s been working on a psychological thriller called “Inconceivable,” and she was supposed to attend to promote it.
The planned appearance didn’t go through, with Page Six saying that Canadian authorities banned her from entering the country because of her previous legal troubles. There is also a rumor that she might have asked for the royal treatment when the producers couldn’t afford it, but whatever the cause, it seems that Lindsay took the cancelation to heart.
Lindsay rants, is borderline funny
According to a recent report in Page Six, either Lindsay wasn’t allowed into Canada for the festival because of her years-long legal problems, or she was too much of a diva and the producers couldn’t accommodate her.
The other day, she went on Instagram with a rant that is so rambling and nonsensical that it’s borderline funny. Celebrity pundits believe that the cancelation of her TIFF appearance and the rant are connected, which, if true, would suggest that she was banned from attending - and she is very upset about it.
In between repeating that “they always come back,” Lindsay also waxed poetic about being a celebrity and not being allowed to give it her best in acting because everybody (and especially the media) wants her to fail, Michael Jackson, deer and PETA, and the tabloid press.
You can see her post in full below. Because it makes almost no sense at all, celebrity bloggers are having a blast with jokes on the kind of drug she might have been on when she came up with it. Officially, Lindsay has been clean for many months now, but at the same time, she’s also been partying a lot across Europe and not working on the comeback she’s been talking about whichever chance she gets.
Lindsay’s Instagram remains a place of wonder
Even assuming that her rant was about her being suddenly unable to attend the prestigious film festival, it seems that she didn’t let it trouble her for too long.
Lindsay’s most recent post on the social networking website (the second one available below) is another one in what is already proving for her a long series of Photoshop fails.
It’s a photo of her from the back, wearing a waist trainer that she’s paid to endorse (she’s also paid to endorse on social media weight loss / detox tees and teeth whitening products) and a text meant to promote body acceptance and a healthier body image.
Ironically, the photo has been Photoshopped to make her waist appear thinner, as is made obvious from the unnatural curves in the drapes. So whatever it was that vexed Lindsay so badly after her TIFF snafu and the Instagram rant, it wasn’t bad enough to make her not want to Photoshop her photos and try to pass them as “real” on social media.
