The Document Foundation announced a few moments ago the release of the seventh and last scheduled point release for the LibreOffice 5.2 open-source and cross-platform office suite.

LibreOffice 5.2.7 is the last maintenance update in the stable series, which The Document Foundation recommends for deployment in a wide range of production environments, including family, small and medium-sized businesses, enterprises, as well as individual users.

It's a modest point release that fixes a total of 43 issues reported by users since LibreOffice 5.2.6, which arrived two months ago. We recommend checking out the RC1 and RC2 changelogs if you're curious to know what exactly was implemented in this last maintenance update to the LibreOffice 5.2 series, which will soon reach end of life.

"TDF suggests deploying LibreOffice in large organizations, public administrations and enterprises with the backing of professional support by certified people (a list is available at http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/professional-support/)," reads today's announcement.

LibreOffice 5.2 reaches end of life on June 4, 2017

The LibreOffice 5.2.7 release is available for download right now for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows operating systems from our website, and it's a recommended update for everyone using any version from the LibreOffice 5.2 series. It will also be soon available from the stable repos of various Linux distros.

Again, this is the last scheduled maintenance update that will be released for LibreOffice 5.2, as the end of life of the series is currently set for June 4, 2017. Therefore, you have less than a month to migrate to the LibreOffice 5.3 branch. In the meantime, development of the LibreOffice 5.4 office suite is ongoing, and a first set of features was recently revealed on our website.
