Now 63, he is still a hot commodity because of good box office draw, so all drastic changes in his appearance are bound to make headlines.
Over the weekend, the actor was photographed in SoHo, New York, looking uncharacteristically frail and gaunt, as you can see from the 2 photos included in this article.
Fans worry for Liam, fear the worst
Radar Online has more photos, while reports online claim that Neeson’s schedule has mysteriously been cleared for the coming months.
This and the drastic weight loss might suggest that he’s having some kind of health issue. For the record, his last public appearance was one month ago, and there wasn’t anything different about him, compared to previous appearances.
So whatever happened to make him lose all this weight and turn him almost unrecognizable happened in the short space of just one month.
That said, fans are worried for him. Liam isn’t just a popular action movie star, but also a popular celebrity, who always gives amazing interviews that can be both funny and serious / deep, depending on the situation.
Everything is ok, says rep
As word of this had started to spread rapidly online, the Daily Mail reached out to Leeson’s rep and they got back a standard reply that there was no reason for concern
“He has never been healthier,” the publicist says. “He has just completed work on one film and starts another in September.”
Assuming this is the truth, because publicists are known to lie to the public for a variety of reasons, on a variety of things, the other possible explanation for Neeson’s dramatic weight loss would be that he’s doing it for his next movie role.
He has “Silence” and “A Monster Calls” in post-production and scheduled for a 2016 release, so maybe one of these 2 roles required of him to drop some weight.
This would certainly be the better explanation, that much is certain.
