The LG Watch Sport and Style are the first smartwatches powered by Google's new Android Wear 2.0 operating system. They have been teased for about a month now and will make their debut on the market on February 9.

They are considered Google's first foray into smartwatch territory, hardware-wise. Although they have been built and are branded by LG, the design is made with the help of Google's engineers.

Google and LG have a long partnership history, so there's no surprise that the search giant chose the South Korean company to build its first smartwatches.

That being said, it's worth mentioning that LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style smartwatches will be available for purchase beginning February 10 for $380 and $270, respectively.

LG Watch Sport will be available in titanium and dark blue, while the LG Watch Style will sell in three different colors: silver, rose gold, and titanium.

They will be launched in the United States, but their availability will expand to other countries in late February and March. You can expect them to arrive in Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE and UK in the coming weeks.

Spec-wise, the LG Watch Sport is the better-geared of the two. It sports a 1.38-inch OLED display with 480 x 480 pixel resolution. Also, it packs 768MB RAM, 4GB storage and a 430mAh battery.

On the other hand, the smaller LG Watch Style features a 1.2-inch OLED display with 360 x 360 pixel resolution, while at the core of the smartwatch sit 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, and a tinier 240mAh battery.

Although both smartwatches come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, those who buy the LG Watch Sport will also be able to take and make calls since it comes with cellular connectivity (3G and LTE support). Of course, GPS and NFC (Near Field Communication) are included as well.

The LG Watch Sport also offers Android Pay support and comes with a heart rate sensor inside. As previously reported, both smartwatches benefit from deep Google Assistant integration, as well as enhanced iOS support.

Also, the Watch Sport comes with two additional buttons that enable users to quickly open Google Fit and Android Pay apps.

Last but not least, LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style feature IP68 and IP67 certifications for water and dust resistance.
