One of the weirdest smartphones launched this year, the LG V10, has finally gone on sale. For now, it's only available in South Korea, but it will make its debut globally in the coming months.

It will come to the US at most major carriers in the country, but it will also be available in European countries and other regions.

According to LG, the V10 should go on sale in the country today, and customers who want one will have to pay around $690 (€610) outright.

The smartphone is available in Opal Blue, Ocean Blue, Luxe White, Modern beige and Space Black, but these color options might not be available in all countries.

Customers who purchase the LG V10 will also receive a free battery pack or a quick cover. The offer is only available until October 31 at all major Korean carriers, including KT, LG U+ and SK Telecom.

Anyway, the handset ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop right out of the box and LG UX 4.0 UI on top of it. It also comes with some LG features, such as Knock On and KnockCode.

A powerful device that can compete with other flagship phones

LG V10 sports a 5.7-inch In-cell Touch Quantum capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, as well as a secondary 2.1-inch IPS Quantum display that supports 1040 x 160 pixel resolution.

Another strong point of the phone would be the 16-megapixel camera on the back, which features laser autofocus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization), and 4K video recording. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front, which promises to provide users with great selfies.

On the inside, the LG V10 is equipped with a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit, and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card slot.

Obviously, the LG V10 comes with the full array of connectivity options, such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC (Near Field Communication), and GPS with AGPS support.

It's also worth mentioning that LG V10 is powered by a 3,000mAh removable battery, which supports Quick Charging 2.0 technology.
